Cheers to a New Year!

Happy New Year, bloggie world!! I hope you have all managed to recover from a wonderful weekend full of good food, good wine and good friends!
I started the New Year off at work. We have a huge NYE party at the hotel every year and of course, I was working. It was fun though. I still got to dress up in a sparkly dress and we did a champagne toast at midnight (or about 5 minutes after!) Oh and maybe there were some cupcakes involved too... :-)
One of my NY resolutions is to become more sexy this year. I know. It's a little weird. But let me explain myself. I am somewhat of a cute girl however I've recently discovered that I can be quite boyish and not very ladylike. Take for instance a holiday party that I went to at one of Kevin's coworkers place a few weeks ago. I started the evening off with a glass of sparkling wine and then proceeded to switch to beer (consumption of 2) afterwards deciding to move onto a final glass of red wine. Now a ladylike woman would had the glass of sparkling wine (oh I forgot to mention that I had 2... :-/) and then maybe a glass of red wine (2 glasses at max!) Anyhoo so drinking and lunching like a lady is essential to being sexy. I will give you another example as well. I won't go into details cause it's slightly embarrassing but it involves a minor stair incident in really big heels. Sexy women don't trip and get big giant bruises on their wrists. Oh, how I long to be one of those women... :-)
Let's see, I haven't really thought of too many other resolutions that I have just yet. Stay tuned though and I will keep you posted. Anyhoo so after I finished working around 1.30am on NYE, I galloped over to Kev's hotel next door (seriously they are one block apart!) where we stayed overnight cause he was the manager on call for the night. He wouldn't let me drink any beer outta the mini bar though (bully...) I then woke up entirely too early and decided to go all 'pretty woman' and take a bath in the giant bathtub. Lol, I have the most random life! We then went and had an amazing Korean feast for lunch (seriously if you've never had Korean food you are TOTALLY missing out!)
After a great weekend, I am not looking forward to going back to work in the am. Boo! BUT I can't wait for next weekend to get here because I am going to Chicago. Holla!!!!! On that note, gots to go make sure my party pants are all washed and ready....
